The conference organized opportunities to contribute to a school gardeners’ almanac for the southwest desert ecoregion. By focusing on opportunities and challenges that ecoregion schools hold in common, conference participants considered how to support, sustain, and spread garden-based science teaching while also providing a model for other ecoregions.
